Four Stages of Endarkenment

by HG

The first Holism Gaea’s work. The concept is based on Bardo Thedol, Tibetan manual for the dying. In the album it is mythically interlaced with inverted study of perceiving the full enlightenment. The work reveals the idea that the highest degree of existence is not the lightest at the same time, but on the contrary represents unbearable, painful experience. Reality is not pleasant - the sentence makes reference to existentialism, the "between the lines" theme of Four Stages of Endarkenment.
As always dark and droning sound design encounters underground hip-hop/industrial beats in this effort, covered by exceptions from Bardo Thedol. Keeping the idea of 4 track concept Holism Gaea produced wide-ranged colorful haunting ghost-like sound for the record. It seems the despair is dominating in the album, but there is always a gleam of hope in it . . .

We prefer sound products in their physical presence, so this CDr is available through Discogs:
